275 wordsRachael Barclay started on a restaurant floor. She was a server and bartender in Philadelphia, worked for Jose Garces, and ran the service team at L’Espalier in Boston before moving into operations leadership. Fifteen years of executive operations followed. Seven of those years were inside private clubs in Philadelphia, San Jose, and Seattle, most recently the Columbia Tower Club, seventy six floors up, where she was the youngest executive on the team. That work teaches you that every touchpoint matters, every system has to work, and a single missed follow up costs real revenue.
Then, in October 2025, a restructuring at the club company she had moved to removed her from the org chart. What she felt was relief. The relief made space, and Vantage is what she built in it.
Today she runs The Savvy Digital Co., building brand strategy and digital systems for founders, executives, and growing brands. When the Columbia Tower Club closed and Seattle lost its connective tissue, she built Vantage, a network designed to be the layer between the city's rooms rather than another room competing with them. She hosts the You're Allowed podcast. Two test episodes went out in spring 2026, with Jesse Rhodes Jr. and former Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best, and the full season is recording now.
She speaks from eight original frameworks built out of 15 years of pattern recognition, including Climber vs. Architect, Mastery as a Cage, and Systems as Kindness. Her argument is that your identity will outgrow your role before you are ready, and that this is not failure. It is growth.
She lives in downtown Seattle with her partner and their daughter.
